We were lucky enough to go to Goa 3 times in 2005.  This was the first trip in September when we went with Jen's colleague Pete and his visiting friend Nick.  We decided to chance the overnight bus from Bangalore to Goa and really wished we hadn't, in fact the moment we got there we booked return flights and sold the bus tickets to another Indian friend who happened to be in Goa and couldn't get a ticket back to Bangalore.  It was the worst journey I have ever taken!  We did quite a lot of inland sightseeing this time and took in the fabulous sights of Old Goa and its Portugese buildings and connections with St Francis of Assisi who just happened to be on display whilst we were there!  Also took our hire car on a few of the inland river ferries and got completely lost which added to the fun and adventure!
