Southern Ireland Jan 2006
Well the old man wanted to go to Ireland again and as we were home for a few days from India we took him on along with Vera (whom we nicknamed Harry after Harry Secombe because she would make big raspberry noises when she fell asleep!) both of whom had to be pushed everywhere in wheelchairs. It was hard work but we had a load of fun treating the two elderlies as though they were young children in the back of the car and every so often we would treat them with special things like sherbert fountains and Kinder Eggs even though they are both diabetic. Stayed in a lovely new self catering house in the coastal village of Doonbeg in County Clare. All 4 of us for return tickets with Ryanair from Bristol to Shannon paid a grand total of £80 including taxes, bargain eh!
